Christopher McKinney

Christopher McKinney is a seasoned trial attorney with over 30 years of experience representing employees and injury victims throughout Texas. He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Labor and Employment Law — a distinction held by fewer than 1% of Texas attorneys — and has dedicated his career to standing up against powerful entities that infringe on the rights of individuals.

His path includes serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas and practicing at one of the nation's largest law firms. In 2001 he founded The McKinney Law Firm to focus exclusively on workplace discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and serious injury cases.

Chris has tried cases in state and federal courts across Texas — Austin, Houston, El Paso, McAllen, Tyler and San Antonio among them. Beyond the courtroom, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Employment Lawyers Association, is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, and has testified before the Texas Legislature on civil-rights issues affecting Texas workers.
