The ADA, Age Discrimination, And Worker Health During The COVID-19 Pandemic
/During the COVID-19 pandemic, workers who are more susceptible to COVID-19 have dealt with the difficult decision of whether to work—often in situations that do not offer appropriate safeguards for their health. Many other workers are faced with making the choice to return to work when they live with family members or housemates who are at higher risk. Others are concerned with how employers will treat sensitive medical information or testing requirements when returning to the workplace. With states beginning to “re-open,” more workers will be faced with these choices.
To help workers and attorneys who are dealing with these issues, NELA - The National Employment Lawyers Association, in cooperation with the AARP, conducted a briefing last week in which experts in the field discussed these issues in detail.
